Slander - the action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation. So, for someone to call James Gunn a pedo, without proof, effectively damaging his career is OK, as long as the person that's being attacked is part of Hollywood's elite? Is it acceptable to manufacture outrage just to keep your name in the news? Is it acceptable to accuse people of doing things that haven't been proven and costs them their job and possibly their livelyhood? James Gunns tweets WERE tastless, he has already talked about them, he's apologized for them and for stuff he's said in the past. Should he have? No. What's done is done. Again, he's apologized and we need to move on. But that doesn't seem to be the case. It's all fake outrage. We, as a society need to stop and think about what's really being done and go after those that bring about this nonsense. Stop giving voice to people that do nothing but slander and try to push their agenda on you.
